Digital Detective appoints Paul Andrews as Head
of Digital Forensics
Digital Detective Group, a provider of leading
digital forensic software, is pleased to announce
that Paul Andrews has been appointed as Head of
Digital Forensics.
Paul has been involved in the field of digital
forensics for the past 10 years and has considerable
experience within a Law Enforcement environment. He
spent over 8 years working in the Digital Forensics
Unit of Kent Police and during that time was
involved in hundreds of investigations involving the
extraction and analysis of digital evidence across
crimes such as terrorism, murder, rape, domestic
extremism, robbery, drugs distribution, fraud,
counterfeiting and paedophilia. He has considerable
court experience and has produced, and delivered,
quality evidential packages at Crown, Magistrates
and Family court level.
Paul most recently worked for QCC Information
Security based in London where he continued his
involvement with criminal cases but also added
commercial work and a dash of e-discovery to his
repertoire.
Paul holds a Master of Science degree in Forensic
Computing and Cybercrime Investigation from
University College Dublin with his thesis dealing
with the challenges posed to Law Enforcement by
digital CCTV systems.
Paul is an experienced user of Digital Detective
software and has utilised them in his forensic
examinations since inception. He has been involved
in the evolution of Blade™ from a specialist e-mail
recovery tool to its current iteration as an
advanced professional forensic data recovery
solution.
Paul has considerable experience in the field of
research and development and will be using this to
assist in expanding the capabilities of our forensic
software; he will be driving the development of our
new training courses as well as managing the day to
day activities of our Digital Forensics Lab.
